Sun Simiao cave

Sun Simiao cave is located on Wuyan mountain, 10 kilometers northwest of Hebi City Center in Henan Province, at the foot of Taihang Mountain. According to Tangyin county annals, mountains and rivers: "Wuyan mountain is 40 Li to the west of the county. There are five grains in the mountain. There is a cave in the southeast. Sun Zhenren's room is also called Wuyan cave.".

Sunsimiao cave, facing northeast, is a natural cave with a height of 2.18 meters, a width of 1.7 meters and a depth of 22 meters. It's dark in the cave, only a ray of sunlight. The rock on the wall of the tunnel is uneven, and water seeps out from the cracks on both sides. There is a spring on the right side of the cave bottom, which is clear and drinkable.

In the cave and its vicinity, people left stone statues, cliff inscriptions and stone inscriptions in memory of sun Zhenren. At the junction of the stone wall and the top wall of the cave, there is a stone inscription of you sun Zhenren cave by Zhao Yongchang, a native of Xiangzhou, on the fourth day of September in the first year of song Chongning (AD 11o2). On the stone wall of the cave, there is a cliff in the 23rd year of jindading (AD 1183), "the reconstruction of the statue of sun Zhenren in Sanxian cave of Sumen". At present, the stone statue of sun Zhenren has disappeared in the cave. Only the stone pedestal of sun Zhenren was carved in the first year of Hongzhi (1488 A.D.). Above the entrance of the cave, there are stone inscriptions on the banner of "famous doctors of the Tang Dynasty" by Ji Hitachi in March of the 10th year of Daoguang reign of the Qing Dynasty (1830 A.D.) and couplets of "the greater the courage, the smaller the heart, the more round the wisdom, the more square the practice".

Sun Simiao, a native of Zhaohua (now Yaoxian County, Shaanxi Province) in the Tang Dynasty, was young and erudite. He was good at talking about Laozhuang and was known as Shengtong in the world. He lived in Taibai Mountain for a long time. Emperor Wen of the Sui Dynasty called him as a doctor of the state. When Emperor Gaozong of the Tang Dynasty called again, he paid homage to the counsellor, but sun was not accepted. He called the disease back to the mountain. After traveling in Taihang, he lived in seclusion in Wuyan mountain and devoted himself to the study of medicine. He wrote Qianjin Yaofang and Qianjin Yifang, which are classics of Chinese medicine and have great influence on all countries in the world.
