Monkey Mountain in Xishuangbanna

Houshan, Xishuangbanna, is the research and experimental base of Yunnan Primate Center for experimental animals in China. It is four kilometers away from Jinghong City. It has 14 species of national first and second rare primates. It is also a scenic spot for scientific research, leisure and vacation.

There are national first-class protected animals such as red faced monkey and gibbon, as well as the largest macaque breeding farm in Asia, which has raised more than 4000 rhesus monkeys and cynomolgus monkeys.
