The facade of Shandong provincial Party History Exhibition Hall is mainly decorated with red granite, highlighting the artistic atmosphere of the entrance. A small amount of glass curtain wall is used at the upper end of the entrance, reflecting the information of modern architecture. The roof adopts the symbol processing method of traditional building double slope roof, and some parts are hung with blue tiles on both sides, giving people a new feeling, and the architectural personality is very prominent.

The interior treatment of the building is simple and generous. The area of the foyer is small, but the height of the foyer is appropriately increased by using the method of half corridor, which forms a shared space and reduces the depression caused by the narrow area. In the east side of the hall, it is economical and reasonable to turn up and down the stairs. The whole building is compact and practical, highlighting the personality of modern memorial architecture, and skillfully using the traditional architectural symbols. It is solemn and generous, and has typical social and historical significance.

Shandong provincial Party History Museum of the Communist Party of China

The exhibition hall of Shandong party history is a three storey building, covering an area of 1200 square meters. The main building is three stories, about 16 meters high, with a construction area of 1273 square meters. The layout of the building is "giant" in the north-south direction, and the sign of sickle and hammer head is embedded above the library name written by Peng Zhen. Reinforced concrete frame structure is adopted. The building has the dual significance of memorial building and exhibition building, and there is a building square in front of the building.

Shandong Party History Museum of the Communist Party of China is located at No. 3, Communist Youth League Road, Jinan City. Located in the economic and cultural center of Jinan City, it is surrounded by Wulongtan Park, Quancheng road and Baotu Spring Park in the north, East and south, and adjacent to the former site of the leading organ of Shandong provincial Party committee in the north. Designed by Yu Huihai of Jinan architectural design and Research Institute and constructed by Jinan No.4 construction company. Construction started in December 1990 and completed in June 1991.

The building is basically integrated with the construction environment, which is the only typical "post-modernism building" in Jinan.

Museum Cultural Relics

The Shandong Provincial Museum of CPC history was officially opened in 1991. The title of the museum was written by Peng Zhen, an older generation proletarian revolutionist and former chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress. In 1990, to welcome the 70th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China, the Shandong provincial Party committee and Jinan municipal Party committee decided to expand the Shandong provincial Party History Museum. On June 25, 1991, the newly built Shandong provincial Party History Exhibition Hall officially opened.

At present, the museum has more than 500 cultural relics and more than 1500 photos. The main tasks of the party history exhibition hall include: publicity and exhibition of party history in Shandong Province and Jinan City; collection and research of party history relics, party history and Party building materials; maintenance and management of the former site of the leading organ of Shandong provincial Party committee, statues of Wang Jinmei and Deng Enming and Memorial square. There are three exhibition halls in the museum, which mainly display the historical materials and pictures of the party. Through the photos and objects, the development and growth of Shandong local organizations of the Communist Party of China and the process of Shandong local organizations of the Communist Party of China leading the people in revolution, construction, reform and opening up are vividly reproduced. Since its completion, the Party History Museum has received the visits of leading comrades of the Central Committee and Shandong Province and thousands of visitors, and has become an indispensable position for the construction of spiritual civilization. Li Xiannian, Yang Shangkun, Peng Zhen, Wan Li, Bo Yibo, Yang Dezhi and other revolutionaries of the older generation successively wrote inscriptions for the party history exhibition hall. Party and state leaders Peng Zhen, Hu Yaobang, Gu Mu, Yang Dezhi, Liu Lantao, Ni Zhifu, Tian Jiyun, Jiang Chunyun, Wu Guanzheng and others respectively went to the museum to guide the work.

Follow up development of exhibition hall

After the free opening in 2008, visitors from all walks of life are in an endless stream, receiving more than 30000 visitors annually, which has achieved good social effects. During the 11th National Games, according to the deployment of the Organizing Committee of the National Games, the party history exhibition hall was listed as an important historical and cultural visit point, and it undertook the task of receiving important guests at home and abroad during the 11th National Games.

In 1995, the party history museum was named as the first batch of provincial and municipal patriotic education bases by Shandong Province and Jinan City.

In 2007, it was awarded the titles of "Shandong Party member education base" and "Jinan Party member education base" respectively by the Organization Department of Shandong provincial Party committee and the Organization Department of Jinan municipal Party committee.

In 2009, it was listed as a key historical and cultural inspection unit, and signed agreements with dozens of primary, middle and large schools to build a practice base for moral education.

In 2010, it was awarded the title of "Jinan minor ideological and moral education base" by Jinan Spiritual Civilization Construction Committee.
