The old Qingfeng building of the Political Department of the seventh Red Army is located in Bayi hope primary school on Zhongshan Road, Baise City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. It was built in 1911. It is a three story brick and wood structure independent building, covering an area of 120 square meters. The roof is covered with four eaves and dripping water. The top floor has a hall without a corridor, and the lower two floors have a central hall veranda. The corridor is surrounded by railings, built with green bricks and a "cross" shape Hole. The whole building is simple and generous, with yellow exterior wall and bright hall. Because all sides can rely on the fence to face the wind, it is called "qingfenglou".

During the Baise uprising, the seventh Red Army was founded, and qingfenglou was the seat of the Political Department of the seventh Red Army. The political department is responsible for the party affairs, political thought and mass movement of the whole army. The general affairs section, the organization section, the publicity section and the publicity team all work here. The building is not only an office, a meeting room, but also a dormitory. It is here that the staff of the political department draft documents, formulate slogans and slogans, issue notices, compile and print political and ideological teaching materials, and print propaganda materials with borrowed lithographic machines. At that time, the Youjiang daily, the earliest printed newspaper founded during the red army uprising, was also located here.

The utensils and furnishings in Qingfeng building were restored according to the layout of that year. On the walls around the first floor, the words "down with the Kuomintang warlords who deceived the people", "confiscate the land of the landlords and distribute it to the poor peasants" written by the seventh Red Army in those years, and "all officers and soldiers of the seventh Red Army are treated equally, with a monthly salary of two."

The handwriting of slogans such as "ten yuan" and "long live the success of the Communist Party" can still be recognized.

Qingfenglou, the former site of the Political Department of the seventh Red Army, as a part of the former site of the seventh Red Army, was also listed as a national key cultural relics protection unit in 1988.
