In order to resist the oppression of the government and the pursuit of the army, many peasant leaders and heroes in the past dynasties set up their villages and raised their flags on the mountain. During the Anti Japanese War, Japanese invaders invaded Yiyang. The Chinese Army built fortifications and dug trenches on zhaizilun to fight against Japanese aggression. At that time, there was a doggerel: "zhaizilun is really high, and cannons are installed on the mountain. The cannonball falls on the ghosts and makes them howl." it really shows the danger and function of zhaizilun. These ancient barriers and modern trenches are still left on the mountain. The ancient battlefield, which used to be contested by military strategists, is now being gradually developed into a tourist destination.
