Feng Zicai's former residence, also known as gongbaodi, is located in baishuitang village, Qinzhou Town, Qinzhou City. Fenggongbaodi covers an area of more than 150000 square meters with a construction area of 2020 square meters. It includes three small hills shaped like crouching tiger, which are called "Crouching Tiger land" by local people. Surrounded by high walls, there are three main buildings in the wall, each of which is divided into three rooms, each of which is divided into three small rooms, a total of 9 rooms and 27 small rooms, forming a distinctive "three rows and nine" architectural mode. There is a stele Pavilion about 500 meters behind the tomb beside the highway. In the pavilion, there is a huge stele symbolizing the rank of officials. The inscription is "the Great Qing Dynasty granted the title of general Ronglu, the Great Qing Dynasty granted the title of general Taizi Shaobao, the hereditary light vehicle Duwei and Yiyun Biwei of Guizhou Province, and Feng yongyigong Shinto.". On the tombstone, the amount of "merit lies in the party and the state", and the couplet on both sides is "the last love is not only Sangzi, but also Liu Feng". In front of the tombstone, there are confession cases, steps and carpet shaped worship platform, which are magnificent. After visiting Feng Zicai's tomb, Tian Han, a famous Chinese playwright and poet, once wrote a poem of seven rhythms in "hanging on Feng Zicai's tomb": "in the east of the ancient city on the Bank of niqiaoling, he was stationed in the chariot to hang Cuiweng. The song roars like a horse in battle, and the fragrance of flowers presents the hero. The demon river left into regret, resistance to the south of France has great achievements. In the past hundred years, there has been a lot of painful history, so we should not lose Liu Feng. " The poem sums up Feng Zicai's life to a high degree.

People involved

Feng Zicai (1818-1903), a native of Qinzhou, was named nangan and Cuiting. He was a general in the late Qing Dynasty and served successively as governor of Guangxi and Guizhou. It was nearly 70 years old in the Sino French war in 1885. In zhennanguan (today's friendship pass), the French army fought a bloody battle with straw sandals and swords. They took advantage of the victory to pursue Wenyuan, Liangshan and other places in Vietnam, annihilating more than 1000 French troops, which is known as the "great victory of zhennanguan". After his death, he was buried in the east of Qinzhou City. The tomb was built in 1905. There are inscriptions, stone figures, stone horses and stone archways in front of the tomb, which is of great scale.
