Jiangxueyuan is located in jiangxueyuan lane, North Street, Tongcheng city. It is the former site of Fang Xuejian, a famous scholar of Ming Dynasty. Fang Xuejian (living around 1600 A.D.) was named Daqing and BenAn. His eldest son, Dazhen, was a famous Neo Confucianist in the Wanli period of Ming Dynasty, and his great grandson, Fang Yizhi, praised the ancient and modern generation. Fang Xuejian has been intelligent since he was a child and can write at the age of 10. After that, he toured with famous scholars to learn the essence of the day, and became more famous. He sacrificed wine for all living beings with cloth clothes for more than 20 years. He taught in Qiupu of Tongchuan and built Tongchuan guild hall, with hundreds of visitors. He was fond of charity and died at the age of 75. He was a scholar with a private posthumous title of Mr. Mingshan and was worshipped as a "Xiangxian Temple". There are 65 volumes of works such as you Xun, Xin Xue Zong and Chong Ben Tang draft.
