Tianhou palace in Zhenyuan, also known as Fujian guild hall, was built in the Qing Dynasty to commemorate Mazu, the God of the sea, and to serve as the guild hall of Fujian compatriots.

Tianhou palace in Zhenyuan, also known as Fujian guild hall, was built in the Qing Dynasty to commemorate Mazu, the God of the sea, and to serve as the guild hall of Fujian compatriots. Tianhou palace is located in Xinzhong street, Fuyang Town, Zhenyuan County. It faces south from the north, backs on Shiping mountain, and faces the Fuyang River in front. It is composed of Mountain Gate, main hall, theater, East and West chambers, West courtyard, east courtyard (dining room), dressing house and other buildings. Each single building is of small green tile top and bucket type wood structure. It covers an area of 2372 square meters and a construction area of 1200 square meters. After the war in Xiantong period, Lin Pinnan, the magistrate of Zhenyuan County, led Fujian businessmen to donate money to rebuild the existing Tianhou palace from Tongzhi to Guangxu period.

Tianhou palace is close to mountains and rivers, and makes full use of the mountain terrain for layout. The ancient people's idea of obeying nature and making use of the ups and downs of the terrain to arrange buildings freely can be seen everywhere. As a gathering place for worshiping Mazu, the God of the sea, and Fujian businessmen, Tianhou palace not only reflects the prosperous situation of merchants and shipping in Zhenyuan at that time, but also reflects a kind of cultural exchange between the Yangtze River Basin and the southeast coast. It is of great value to study the economic and cultural exchanges between Guizhou and the coastal areas.

In 1985, Tianhou palace was announced as a key cultural relics protection unit in Guizhou Province.
