Lin Antai ancient house

Lin Antai ancient house, formerly known as Antai house, is also known as Lin Antai ancient house Folk Museum. Gucuo is a well-known ancient traditional building in Taiwan. It is simple and bright. Although it has not been listed as a historic site due to its relocation and reconstruction, it is still a representative work of Fujian style ancient houses in Taiwan. During the Huabo exhibition period, Gucuo was used as Huabo exhibition hall and is now a part of Huabo park.

Lin'antai ancient house is the most complete ancient house in Taipei. It was originally located on Siwei road and was moved to Binjiang street in Zhongshan District in 1978.

Lin Antai ancient house was built in 1783, It is a folk geomantic custom, and most of the stone and wood of the single storey two entrance courtyard buildings in Southern Fujian are from the original building materials. There is Yuemei pool in the front of the pool, which is paved with red common stone for ballast cabin. It is anti slip and anti moss. The blue tail ridge in front of the main house is low and high. It is warm in winter and cool in summer. It is also a symbol of rising step by step The center of the house and the shrine are exquisitely carved, and the window lattice of the hall is also carved with patterns. The selection of materials and workmanship of the whole building are extremely exquisite, which fully shows the decoration of the wealthy families in Taiwan in the Qing Dynasty.
