Xiangxiangshan is located in Dahu Town, Liuyang City, Changsha City, Hunan Province, adjacent to Panxi village, Guandu town in the West and Lianyun mountain in the back, 40 km away from Liuyang City.

Xiangxiangshan scenic spot, known as "little Guilin in eastern Hunan", was designated as a nature reserve by Liuyang municipal government in 2009.

brief introduction

The area is made of purple red gravel and natural sculpture, forming a unique Danxia landform. The territory is full of birds and flowers, green all the year round, fresh air, staggered rock peaks and precipices, forming strange mountains and rocks that are as colorful as human beings and animals. There are so many different kinds of strange rocks, which can be described as gods from heaven.

Xiangbei mountain, Shizishan, Qilin Rotu, Zhongshan, Gushan, navel rock, houmianshan, golden cat pouncing on mice, goose neck mouth and other scenic spots show their unique colors. The kinkeng River in the scenic area is winding and circuitous, with four seasons of long flow. The water is clear, the water is murmuring, and the deep pools are frequent. The mountains, rocks, flowers and plants in the river are picturesque. It is not the Lijiang River, but the Lijiang River. The thick layer of purplish red gravel has been carved by nature, forming many grotesque caves on the cliffs, some as dense as a sieve, and some as large as a hall. Qilin rock steep stilts, almost 90 degrees upright in the Jinkeng River, straight up the clouds, known as "the first rock in eastern Hunan". The two spacious and elegant caves are the ruins of the ancient temple. When you look from the cliff, you can have a panoramic view of the surrounding people and all kinds of scenery. The bell and the drum are connected on the left and right sides of the mountain. Therefore, it is said that the sound of beating the drum and ringing the bell naturally appears at dusk. All the scenic spots are wonderful and marvelous. Those who are on the scene are still in the fairyland, which makes people feel relaxed and happy and forget to return.

A spring originated in Lianyun mountain flows through the mountains, rippling blue waves and fragrant birds, fish and flowers. What's more, within a distance of less than one kilometer, small stone mountains are like elephants, lions, unicorns, turtles and snakes. They are marvellous. The southernmost cave is called Shenxian cave. In the middle of the stone mountain, there are two caves with a height of about 5 meters and an area of more than 200 square meters and 300 square meters respectively. It is said that they once lived in immortal. After the Tang Dynasty, there were temples built respectively, called Qianyan temple and Houyan temple, which are full of incense. The Japanese invaded and took away the treasures and destroyed the temple. There are two mountains in front of Shenxian cave, one is like iron bell in temple, the other is like big drum, which is called Zhonggu mountain. Along the river, the northernmost mountain looks like the head of an elephant. The elephant's trunk seems to stretch out in the river to drink water, and its two "eyes" are bright
