Zhou Yao Insect Museum

Zhou Yao Entomological Museum is the largest Entomological Museum in Asia, which was established in 1996 to praise the lofty spirit of Professor Zhou Yao, a famous entomologist in Yinxian County, for his patriotism and love of science, and to encourage people, especially the young generation, to forge ahead and actively contribute to the motherland. It is introduced in Chinese, English and Esperanto The Museum covers an area of more than 8000 square meters and a building area of more than 1500 square meters. There are four exhibition halls in the museum. The first hall displays Professor Zhou Yao's advanced deeds of patriotism and love for science. The third Hall

More than 3000 insect labels on display represent the main insect species in China. He, his colleagues and students have collected more than 600000 specimens, of which more than 40 are named after him by other entomologists.

The fourth Hall

There are more than 1000 butterflies on display, including the precious Papilio maculatus, Apollo silk butterfly and so on. The vivid and vivid pictures of butterflies absorbing water, butterflies gathering in winter, and two butterflies mating show the mystery of the butterfly kingdom.

The video Hall of the museum can accommodate nearly 100 viewers. They can watch the feature film "entomologist Zhou Yao" to appreciate the life style of this entomologist. They can also watch the popular science video program of insects and enter the mysterious insect world.
