Eight Banners guild hall
Located at daoshan Road, Gulou District, Fuzhou City, the Eight Banners guild hall was originally the famous garden site of the Ming Dynasty. In the early Qing Dynasty, it was rebuilt as a residence for the Eight Banners' officials in Fujian.
The main building has five entrances, including hall, stage, flower hall, kitchen, warehouse, garden, rockery, fish pond, pavilions and pavilions, covering an area of more than 5000 square meters. After the middle of Qing Dynasty, it was inhabited by Manchu people in Fujian, commonly known as the Eight Banners guild hall. In the late Qing Dynasty and the Republic of China, it was gradually damaged. After 1954, as a factory for the blind, deaf and dumb, some of the original ancient buildings were rebuilt and some of them were destroyed. Today, there is only one hall, which is rectangular and covers an area of 360 square meters. It is surrounded by walls on all sides. It has a double sloping roof and a wooden frame with a bucket. The wooden columns are very large and the roof caisson is well preserved. There is also a stage in the south of the hall. On three sides, there are partition fans and door leaves with various flower and bird patterns, which can accommodate about 500 people. It has the architectural style of Manchu in Qing Dynasty. In 1992, it was announced as a municipal cultural relics protection unit.
