Songshan No.1 building is located in shaoshanchong, 1 km away from Mao Zedong's former residence. In a piece of green pines and bamboos, along the road, through a small bridge, enter the Pine Mountain. There is a circular arch in the bamboo forest, which reads "Hometown" of Mao Zedong's hand style, that is, Songshan No.1.

Entering through the arch, you can see ancient pines covering the sky, camphor trees dripping green, birds singing in the forest, and the breeze sending fragrance. Songshan No.1 building is located here. It's called building. It's actually a bungalow with green bricks and tiles.

No.1 building was built in 1958, covering an area of more than 500 square meters. It has bedrooms, reception rooms, barber rooms, restaurants, entertainment rooms and other facilities. On June 25, 1959, Mao Zedong drove into Songshan No.1 in a gray Jim car and spent two unforgettable days here. In these two days, he fully enjoyed the fragrance of the landscape of his hometown, and held a banquet in the restaurant to entertain his parents and villagers. He had a good chat with the villagers in his hometown, but he had a strong feeling of his hometown.

Late in the night, Mao Zedong lit a cigarette in his bedroom, took a few deep breaths, and burst into poetic excitement, so he wrote a poem "seven rhythms. To Shaoshan":

Don't dream faintly curse the passing River, hometown 32 years ago. The red flag rolled up the serf's halberd, and the black hand hung the overlord's whip.

Mao Zedong left No. 1 building in Songshan on the afternoon of June 27 and never came back here. With the passage of time, the scale of Songshan No.1 building has gradually expanded, and No.2 building, No.3 building and No.4 building have been built in succession. It has developed into Shaoshan Hotel and become a large foreign tourist hotel.
