Ganzhou kiln, one of the four kilns in Song Dynasty in Jiangxi Province, was first fired in Yuan Dynasty. Its products are mainly folk goods, such as pillows, bottles, cups, pots, pots, calices, plates, saucers, bowls, bowls, ovens, inkstones, etc. Among the products of Ganzhou kiln, there is a kind of unique product of Ganzhou kiln, which is a kind of Liudou Wendian, a kind of glazed drum nail jar.

Geographical location

Qili kiln is located in Qili Village, Shuidong Town, Zhanggong District, Ganzhou City, about 6 kilometers away from Ganzhou City. It is the largest ancient kiln in southern Jiangxi. At that time, Qili kiln products were not only sold in southern Jiangxi and its surrounding areas, but also exported to Japan, Korea and other places. In recent years, when the relevant departments were salvaging the ancient merchant ships, the archaeologists found the brown glazed milk nailed willow bucket shaped jar and other products produced in qiliyao, Ganzhou. The prosperity of Qili kiln in Ganzhou at that time can be seen from this. According to relevant professionals, from the existing collection, it can be concluded that the porcelain of Qili town had a very high degree of porcelain, and the firing temperature at that time should be above 1250 ℃. Its texture can be compared with Jingdezhen porcelain of Song Dynasty.

Historical overview

From 1985 to the end of 1986, the Jiangxi Provincial Institute of cultural relics and Archaeology excavated four kilns in Shaziling and zhangjialing, Qili town. It belongs to the shape of dragon kiln. Shaziling reveals one dragon kiln at the top and one at the bottom of the kiln, with clear lamination. The top one is incomplete and the structure is unknown. The two parallel kiln beds in zhangjialing are the only ones in Jiangxi Province. The structure of the kiln head, fire chamber and kiln wall on the east side of the Longyao kiln is clear and well preserved. The longer the kiln body is, the greater the burning capacity and the higher the output will be. The 40 meter long kiln body has an inclination of 13 to 27 degrees, a large height difference and ideal natural wind force. According to experts, Qili Town kiln has a very rich variety of ceramics, including celadon, white glaze, blue and white glaze, brown glaze, ochre glaze, black glaze, crystal glaze, etc. Most of the unearthed porcelains are used for daily life. Among them, there are dozens of blue and white glazed porcelain and some milky white glazed porcelain, such as bowls, cups, plates, pillows, jars, bottles, powder boxes, etc., while there are dozens of black glazed porcelain, such as pots, jars, bowls, inkstones, cups, bowls, utensils and spoons. Bowls account for 40% of the total. The body is gray and the glaze juice is black and brown. The utensils, such as kuikou high ring foot bowl and calico, in milky white glazed porcelain, have obvious features of common utensils in tombs of Northern Song Dynasty, and are very similar to the products of Jingdezhen in Song Dynasty. A blue and white glaze pot from Qili Town kiln has a round open lip, a smooth shoulder, a bulging belly, and a lotus petal pattern on the outer wall. The glaze is thin and smooth, bright and moist. The brown black ground white glaze milk nailed willow bucket shaped jar has a unique shape and charm. It is a rare fine porcelain in qilizhen kiln. The common feature of these objects is that the production is neat and exquisite, graceful and graceful. They are rare and exquisite products of various famous kilns in Jiangxi Province, with distinctive local characteristics.
