Puyang museum is a public institution affiliated to Puyang Bureau of culture, radio, television, press and publication. It was founded in 1984. Including ceramics, painting, coins, stone tools, bone clam, bronze and other 16 categories. The cultural relics storehouse is a three story cement brick concrete building with a construction area of 1020 square meters; the office building is a corner type two-story cement brick concrete building with a construction area of 1000 square meters.

The museum implements the director responsibility system, and two deputy directors assist the director. There are six departments and one room: storage department, exhibition department, exhibition department, publicity and education department, security department and office. The museum has seven exhibition halls: "exhibition of Li Wenxiang, Li Liancheng and Li Quanfang's advanced deeds", "Li Fangyu painting and calligraphy Museum", "exhibition of Li Quanqing's advanced deeds", "basic history exhibition", "red Puyang" and "dragon vein and Dragon Charm". In addition, there are colorful temporary exhibitions. The exhibition is a panoramic and multi angle representation of the civilization achievements and vicissitudes of history of Puyang from ancient times to the spring and autumn and Warring States period and even since the Qin and Han Dynasties, as well as the modern spirit of "Three Li".

By 2012, Puyang Museum has won the honorary titles of "Puyang patriotism education demonstration base" and "Puyang training base for Party members and cadres".

In September 2018, it was identified as a national third-class Museum.

Development history

The predecessor of Puyang museum is the former Office of Anyang District Cultural Management Committee. In September 1983, with the approval of the State Council, the Anyang district was abolished and Puyang City was established.

On March 21, 1984, Puyang Municipal People's government established Puyang Museum, which is located in Dongmu building, No.73, East Street, Anyang City.

In May 1986, Puyang Museum moved from Anyang City to Puyang temporary rental office.

In December 1997, on the west side of the Zilu tomb, the museum's cultural relics storehouse and affiliated office buildings covering an area of more than 10 mu were built one after another.

In 2011, the museum was relocated to the cultural and Art Center, 165 Kaizhou Middle Road, with a construction area of 15600 square meters.

On September 30, 2011, Puyang museum was officially launched.

In September 2018, it was identified as a national third-class Museum.

Exhibition Profile

Red Puyang exhibition hall

The exhibition is divided into three parts: a prairie fire --- the establishment of the CPC organization and the early revolutionary movement in Puyang, the bloody war of resistance against Japan --- the glorious years of the party leading the Puyang people in the war of resistance against Japan and winning the victory --- the feat of the party leading the Puyang people to go all out to support the war of liberation, reflecting the revolutionary history of Puyang in the period of new democracy.

Li Fangyu Art Museum

There are 129 paintings and calligraphy on display in the exhibition, all of which are famous paintings and calligraphy created and collected by Mr. Li Fangyu for most of his life. Mr. Li Fangyu donated 736 pieces of paintings and calligraphy to Puyang Museum, among which 725 pieces were identified by experts and 218 pieces were of top grade, including 17 pieces of second grade and 201 pieces of third grade.

Longmai Longyun exhibition hall

The exhibition hall is mainly divided into three parts: Millennium Dragon trail, dragon residence Chengxiang and Huaxia dragon capital. It mainly displays the dragon patterns of various periods in history and the historical legends about the dragon through words and pictures.

Exhibition of Li Quanqing's advanced deeds

The exhibition hall is mainly divided into five parts: cordial care, passionate pursuit, life and death, emotion moving the Central Plains and loyal praise. It mainly shows Li Quanqing's advanced deeds through pictures and objects.

History exhibition hall 1

The exhibition hall is mainly divided into two parts: the imperial capital of Longxiang and puyun of Weifeng, which mainly displays the cultural connotation of Puyang.

History exhibition hall 2

The exhibition hall is mainly divided into three parts: Heshuo old county, Chanyuan important town and Jinxiu Kaizhou, mainly showing the historical changes of the ancient city Puyang.

"Three Li" advanced deeds Exhibition

The exhibition hall shows the advanced deeds of Li Wenxiang, Li Liancheng and Li Quanfang.

The first part is about the advanced deeds of Li Wenxiang, a model soldier, the second part is about the advanced deeds of rural Party branch secretary Li Liancheng in serving the people, and the third part is about the advanced deeds of civil servant Li Quanfang.

On December 13, 2012, Liu Lihua, leader of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and President of China supervision magazine, visited Puyang Museum.

On December 12, 2012, Zheng Baiyang, deputy director of Henan Provincial Department of land and resources, and Bai Yong, deputy commander of Puyang military division, visited Puyang Museum.

On June 15, 2012, Bian Faji, vice chairman of China Federation of literary and art circles and vice chairman of China Acrobats Association, Guo Shucheng, deputy director of Provincial Department of culture, Liang taixiang, director of education and scientific research department of Provincial Department of finance, and Tang Xingli, deputy director of industrial department of Provincial Development and Reform Commission, visited Puyang Museum.
