Main features

Relying on the coastal resources such as big and small Taohua mountains, Quanzhou Bay estuarine wetland reserve and historical relics of Quanzhou ancient city, the park will highlight the characteristics of famous historical and cultural city, famous hometown of overseas Chinese, starting point of Maritime Silk Road and world religious gathering. It will build a natural ecological park with beautiful mountains, rivers, wetlands, seabirds, ancient relics, forests and other resources.

The park is divided into four areas, namely Taoling Chunxiao scenic area, Jinshan scenic area, Konggu fanyin scenic area and landscape coordination scenic area. The construction period is from 2003 to 2010. Since the park was built at the end of 2002, Taoling Chunxiao scenic area at the entrance of the park gate has been completed, which is the main scenic spot for tourists. Jinshan scenic area has also been basically completed, and tourists can go to visit. Donghai Guanyin temple and dataohua mountain in Konggu fanyin scenic area will be transformed next year, so long as the footpath is improved, you can play.

In 2008, Quanzhou Forest Park was completed yesterday, and the main scenic area of the park has been basically completed. According to Zhang, director of the management office, the planned area of Quanzhou Forest Park is 8200 mu, reaching Daping mountain in the west, Quanzhou Bay in Houzhu port in the East, Quanxiu East Road in the South and the estuary of Luoyang River in the north. The estimated investment is 93.6 million yuan. All the scenic spots will be completed by 2010. At present, it is a provincial forest park. The first and second phases of Quanzhou forest park have been completed. The park is open to tourists from all over the world. At present, the park has begun to take shape, with a touring area of more than 5300 mu, providing a leisure activity place with beautiful environment for the general public and tourists. According to Zhang, director of the park management office, after the construction of the park, more than 530 kinds of trees have been planted, including some rare trees and shrubs, such as Taxus, kaurensis, Ledong pseudo parthenocarpic magnolia, etc. In a few years, it will be another scene.

Long term planning

The park management office said that in the future, the park may be expanded according to the municipal needs.
