Rongrui monument, built in 1963, is located at the foot of Lianhua peak, Dinghu Mountain, Zhaoqing City, Guangdong Province. The monument is 37 degrees east by North, facing Meinong, the hometown of master Rongrui. The stele is 2 meters high and 1.2 meters wide. It is made of Duanyan stone.
Rongrui Memorial
Rongrui monument is beside the climbing path of Tianxi scenic spot in Zhaoqing City, Guangdong Province. In 1963, it was established to commemorate the death of master Rongrui, a Japanese monk studying in Tang Dynasty, in Duanzhou. The monument is 1.6 meters high and 0.95 meters wide. On the front, it is engraved with "monument to master Rongrui, a Japanese monk studying in Tang Dynasty", and on the back, it is engraved with a four character poem "praise to master Rongrui", all of which are written by Zhao Puchu, President of China Buddhist Association. The stele pavilion was added in 1979.
