Kuocang town

Kuocang town is located at the north foot of Kuocang mountain and the Bank of Yong'an river. It has a long history, outstanding people and beautiful scenery. It is a famous town with profound cultural precipitation in the west of Linhai City, a national famous historical and cultural city. It is also the only ecological demonstration town and water and electricity town in Linhai. With a total area of 156 square kilometers and a population of 40156 (2017), the town now has 47 administrative villages under its jurisdiction.

The towering Kuocang mountain is rolling, rich and broad. The main peak, MI shailang, is 1382.6 meters above sea level. It is the highest peak in southeast Zhejiang Province. It has tall and straight peaks, flying stone beams, cascading waterfalls and flowers all over the country. It also has the danger of Huashan Mountain, the wonder of Huangshan Mountain, the seclusion of Jiuzhaigou Valley and the beauty of Zhangjiajie.

Kuocangshan wind farm, one of the four largest wind farms in China, is built on the top of Kuocangshan mountain with complete power supply and water supply facilities in Kuocang town. Chekouxi hydropower station in Linhai City is a key project of Taizhou Municipal People's government and Linhai Municipal People's government. It is also one of the backbone projects of rural electrification in China.

Kuocang town is more than 20 kilometers away from Linhai City. As of the end of 2016, there are s322 provincial highway and Taijin Expressway in Kuocang town. Hangzhou Shaoxing Tai expressway is under construction, and the terminal is located at Kuocang hub, which will be interconnected with Taijin expressway.
