Beiqiu site of longyi village is located in longyi village, Dinghu District, 2.5km away from Dinghu Mountain scenic spot. It was discovered in 1984. The site dates back about 5000 years. There are 27 Neolithic tombs. The artifacts unearthed include stone casting, pottery and bone ware. The pottery is simple in shape, including sand and mud. Some mud pieces are first coated with white pottery, and then stored with red hook pattern, and are equipped with connecting holes and curve carving patterns. The bone flute in the bone ware is the first discovery in Neolithic sites in Guangdong Province. Most of the burials are single person burials, and there are also double or three person burials. The site provides important material materials for the study of the primitive social history of Guangdong. It was listed as a cultural relic protection unit of Guangdong Province in 1989.
