Xiaocheng village

Xiaocheng village, tugang Township, Yanchuan County, is an ancient mountain village on the West Bank of the Yellow River. There are not only famous natural landscape "Qiankun bay", but also ancient tombs of Warring States period, Han Dynasty, ancient city ruins of Xiuwen County in Tang Dynasty and ancient kilns built by Xiongnu people. Nearby are Nuwa mountain, Huifeng village, Niuwei village, qingshuiguan ancient ferry, cliff Tianshu, etc Northern Shaanxi is a bright spot in the "cradle of the nation".

Folk Art

From September to December 2001, Mr. Jin Zhilin, a national famous scholar of folk culture and professor of the Central Academy of fine arts, and Mr. Feng Shanyun, an artist from northern Shaanxi, went to Xiaocheng village to collect folk customs. They had unique insight, discovered the extraordinary place, and then transferred to archaeology, collection, research, guidance and training for three months. During this period, 28 folk artists were selected to advocate the establishment of Xiaocheng folk art village, and basic work was done. Subsequently, Yanchuan County Yellow River original ecological culture protection and Development Association, funded by Ford Foundation of the United States, established Xiaocheng folk art village with the full support of Yanchuan County People's government.

traditional culture

There is a cultural activity room (or folk art exhibition room) in Xiaocheng folk art village. There are five hole stone kilns in a courtyard, of which three holes are exhibition rooms, namely, one kiln paper cutting, one kiln embroidery and one kiln unearthed cultural relics. It displays not only the folk art works of Xiaocheng, but also the history and culture of Xiaocheng village, and the cultural conservation and spiritual world of Xiaocheng villagers. Its establishment is the result of the "intangible cultural heritage protection" project initiated by UNESCO in recent years and first tried out in China by China folk paper cutting Research Association. It is the focus of more and more people with lofty ideals who pay attention to and study the intangible living cultural protection, inheritance and development.

Xiaocheng folk art village is actually a small folk custom museum in Northern Shaanxi and the original ecological culture museum of the Yellow River.
