Piyunlou

Piyun tower, located on the wall of Duanzhou ancient city to the west of Renmin middle road in Duanzhou District, was built in 1118 A.D. in the third year of Zhenghe in the Northern Song Dynasty. It was built as a lookout tower at that time. It was composed of Piyun tower and fort. It was named because it stood at the top of the western section of the city wall and was often surrounded by clouds.
