Pingtan Island National Forest Park

Pingtan Island National Forest Park was established in 1992 with the approval of the former Ministry of forestry. It was officially opened to the outside world in 1998. The construction of infrastructure and scenic spots has been gradually completed, and the park greening has been gradually improved. The park is composed of Coastal Hilly platform and coastal beach. It is rich in natural resources and has clear landscape layers. The east side of the park is connected with the famous longfengtou beach. The park is unique for its natural charm of "forest and sea". It integrates tourism and health. It is an excellent place for summer vacation, recuperation and recreation. Pingtan Island National Forest Park is located in Pingtan Island, Fujian Province, close to the Taiwan Strait in the East, 120km away from Fuzhou, with a total area of 1295.7hm2. In 1999, it was upgraded to a national forest park. The territory is a subtropical marine monsoon climate, warm in winter and cool in summer, pleasant climate.

Geographical resources

The forest in the garden is luxuriant and gloomy, and the mountains are verdant and majestic. The beach is soft and broad, the sea is clear and blue, and the Eastern Bay is dotted with islets and reefs. In particular, sea bath, sun bath, forest bath, air bath and sand bath complement each other. Make visitors feel the magnificence of nature in sightseeing, entertainment and leisure.

Main attractions

The forest coverage rate in the park reached 90.6%. The superior forest ecological environment has created a fresh and natural recreation place, overlooking from a high altitude, the forest is emerald, and the green waves are vast; under the trees, it is leisurely and comfortable, with different wonders; among the flowers and plants, birds sing and butterflies dance; among the trees, the brook is clear, and the wild taro is deep. In the main scenic area of the park, the mountains are not high, and each has its own characteristics. In the north, Junshan has its own system. In the north, it is half cut into the sea, with islands and reefs scattered. In the south, it is located on the land, with undulating peaks. When you climb Junshan, you can see the cliffs, the wind, the tide and the scenery. There are two natural freshwater lakes in the park, which are full of waves, twists and turns along the lake bank, and green trees all around. It's a wonderful place for tourists to go boating and fishing.

The unique longfengtou bathing beach is located in the southeast of the park. The beach in the bay is broad and gentle, which can accommodate as many as 100000 people at the same time. The beach is soft and golden in color. The bathhouse is backed by the green forest and faces the blue sea. The environment is wonderful. Every summer, a bend of green water, ten miles of Jinsha, clear water, soft waves, scattered silver waves, the sound of the tide like music, is an ideal summer resort for tourists. Here, you can watch the sunrise in the morning, enjoy the moon at night, listen to the tide at the headland, swim on the crest of the waves, run horses and shoot arrows, fish leisurely and have a rest on the sand bank.
