Wudaolin forest farm in Heilongjiang Province has beautiful scenery and green trees. Its staff are mainly engaged in cultivation, management and forest cutting. It is self-sufficient in fruits and vegetables and is a paradise in the world. The local people are simple, with a resident population of about 200. The total area of the business area is 50280 hectares, with about 3000 hectares of arable land.

The "wudaolin" in Turpan city is 3800 meters long and 23 meters wide. There are five channels in the forest side by side. On the slopes on both sides of the channel, there are five channels and 10 rows of trees, such as Populus, Populus alba, Elaeagnus angustifolia, mulberry, etc. It effectively resists sand and wind disasters, and attracts many Chinese and foreign tourists to watch. In addition to the forest belt, there is a winding Karez flowing down from the mountain.

Coniferous tree species are larch, Korean pine, spruce, Ichthyoid pine, Scotch pine, broad-leaved trees are birch, black birch, willow, Fraxinus mandshurica, Tilia amurensis, etc. Most conifers are larch, Korean pine and spruce. There are also many precious medicinal materials, such as Schisandra chinensis and Astragalus membranaceus. There are many wild berries and fungi, such as persimmon, Vitis amurensis, Hericium erinaceus, mushroom and Auricularia auricula. The forest farm is cold in winter, and the low temperature season is about minus 40 degrees.

General situation of tending forest: before tending, the tree species are 8 White 2 black + Poplar - fall, with an average height of 10m, an average diameter at breast height of 10cm, an average age of 23 years, an average number of 1706 trees per hectare, and a density of 0.8; after tending, the tree species are 9 White 1 Black + Poplar - fall, with an average height of 10.6m, an average diameter at breast height of 12cm, an average age of 23 years, an average number of 1605 trees per hectare, a density of 0.7, an intensity of 9%, and a diameter at breast height of 5%

Forest management measures:

Cutting down dead standing trees, fallen trees, seriously diseased rotten trees, baldness trees, windward broken trees, overgrown clumps, bent hanging trees, pressed trees with no future of cultivation and over mature overlord trees;

Clean up the lianas, shrubs, branches and tree heads that have influence on the growth of the target tree species under the forest and carry out zonal accumulation;

The natural seedlings and saplings of precious tree species were selected and retained.

Turpan is the "wind reservoir". In the famous "thirty mile wind area", the strong wind in spring and autumn is often unpredictable, which seriously threatens the vast oasis fertile soil in the suburbs. "Wudaolin" is located 12 kilometers away from the northwest suburb of the city. It is the result of desertification control and afforestation organized by the local government in 1964. It adopted ditch planting afforestation, forest canal combination, wide and narrow row alternate, multi-channel configuration and other measures, forming a unique way of afforestation.
