Diaoyu Island seal reef

Seal reef is located in the sea area near the seal reef and warship reef group of Diaoyu Island Scenic spot. It can be reached by boat for 10 minutes from Changdao port. A large number of wild spotted seals live here every year.

Around November every year, seals leave from Russia's Okhotsk Sea and Bering Sea, pass through the sea of Japan and the North Yellow Sea to the Bohai Sea of China, and arrive at long island on time in March, where they spend their holidays, have love and have children. After they have a good rest, they will go east and north to start a new journey, and return to long island in the spring of next year. According to the local fishermen, the seals always take advantage of the high tide to land on the reef and enjoy "sunbathing" comfortably. From time to time, they put their heads up to observe the movement. The more sunlight there is, the more seals climb on the rocks. They are even piled together, chubby, lazy and charming. Their vigilance is also very high. Once they find a situation, they immediately fall into the water from the rocks and run away.

It's the season to watch spotted seals from April to June every year. If you miss the season, you can only see the artificially raised seals in the scenic area. For children, it's also exciting to see the artificially raised seals!
