Tianjin cultural relics protection unit. It is located at the top of Guayue peak, the main peak of Panshan mountain in Jixian County, north of Tianjin, with an altitude of 864 meters.

The cliff inscriptions such as "five feet to the sky" and "a glance at the mountains" are carved on the wall of the peak beside the tower.

origin

According to the legend of the stupa of dingguang Buddha, it is named after the Buddha lamp on the top of the mountain.

scale

The tower is 3-story octagonal, with a stone xumizuo at the bottom and a brick body. It is as hollow as a pavilion, with a height of 13 meters.

years

It was built in the Tang Dynasty, rebuilt in the Liao and Ming Dynasties, and renovated on a large scale in 1985. The stupa of dingguang Buddha is visible from a hundred miles above the sky, and has become the symbol of Panshan scenic spot.
