Xinminqiao carving Hall

Xinminqiao carving hall is located at No.2, Renmin lane, xinminqiao north, Guangji Road, changmenwai. It was listed as a cultural relic protection unit in Suzhou in 1982. This place was originally Shenjia ancestral hall. The gate is in Shantang street. Now this hall is the only one left. Other ancestral halls have been abandoned. The hall was built in the early Qing Dynasty during the reign of Emperor Qianlong. The hard top is 12 meters wide and 13 meters deep. In the style of Begonia, the hall is full of pavilions, with flat beams, four sides of wood Fang, and figures' stories are carved. The East and West Gables are faced with polished square bricks, and the column base is carved stone drum. The hall has high historical and artistic value.
