Furong River Scenic Spot

In the Gaoxia Pinghu tourist area of Wulong section of Chongqing, the river is green and blue, the vigorous tree roots on both sides are in various shapes, the water birds are flying, the bells and breasts are hanging, the springs and waterfalls are flowing, and the green shadows are dancing. It is the most beautiful scenery of Furong river.

In the Furong River scenic area, the national first-class rare animal, the black leaf monkey, can be observed closely, and the macaques can be seen in groups. You can take the cableway to overlook the emerald River, or take the cruise ship to enjoy the beauty of nature in the green, or experience the thrilling speed skating across the river, which is located next to Furong cave, the "first hole in the world", and is the longest speed skating across the river at present. Wearing a special safety belt and flying across the river, you can not only have a bird's-eye view of the beauty of Furong River Grand Canyon, but also have a panoramic view of the vast reservoir area of Furong River hydropower station.

Furong River Scenic Spot

Furong river national key scenic spot is the fourth batch of national key scenic spots approved by the State Council on May 17, 2002. The scenic spot is located in Jiangkou Town, from zhuzixi of Furong River to wujiangkou of Furong River in Haokou Township, Wulong County, Chongqing city. The main stream is 35 km long and covers an area of 152.8 square kilometers. The total area of the scenic spot is 100.75 square kilometers, of which the core scenic spot covers an area of 23.92 square kilometers. The area of the peripheral protection zone is 88.41 square kilometers. Furong River scenic spot is a national key scenic spot of river gorge type, which is characterized by carbonate karst landform, with Furong cave cave landscape and Furong River Canyon landscape as the main scenery, combined with the protection of black leaf monkey, for sightseeing, water sports and scientific research.

geographical environment

Furong river originates from shiwengzi, Suiyang County, Guizhou Province. It flows from south to north through Guizhou and Chongqing provinces, and flows into Wujiang River at the mouth of Wulong River, with a total length of 231 km. It is the largest tributary of Wujiang River. Furong river is also known as Pangu river. It is called Furong river because there are many Furong trees along the Bank of Jiangkou Town where it meets Wujiang River.

Furong River scenic spot is a coastal scenic spot dominated by the main river of Furong River, including Furong Cave Scenic Spot; Miao village customs, ancient bamboo sea, monkey garden and banana forest in Pangu River scenic spot; Butterfly Valley, longkong waterfall and stalagmites in xuanba scenic spot; Red Army ferry, Manao Feiquan, Jiang Taigong Diaoyu and Zhuzi River in Zhuzi River scenic spot. There are also countless peninsulas and islands.

Gaoxia Pinghu

Chongqing section of Furong river is a national key scenic spot, with a length of 35 km and a typical large-scale "U" shaped canyon. After the impoundment of Chongqing Jiangkou power station reservoir in 2003, this section of the river has formed a beautiful high gorge and Pinghu scenic spot on both sides, with an area of 150 square kilometers. In the Furong River scenic area, the national first-class rare animal, the black leaf monkey, can be observed closely, and the macaques can be seen in groups. If you hold a pole and drive a boat, you can enjoy the wonder of nature.

Eight kilometers from Sanhekou to Jiangkou of Furong River, the boat floats up and down through 10 big and small shoals. It is very exciting to float across the shoal.

River speed skating is located in the "world's first hole" next to Furong hole, is the longest river speed skating.
