Wuhua building

The architecture of Dali ancient city is pure blue tile roof, which is very simple. In the center of the ancient city, surrounded by four pavilions and clear streams, a grand and exquisite structure is the famous Wuhua Building in the history of Nanzhao and Dali. In ancient times, Wuhua Building was a place for official parties and banquets. It was five stories high and could hold ten thousand people standing. The Wuhua Building, rebuilt in 1998, is a four story building with a height of more than 20 meters. The first floor below is a pedestal and the third floor above is a building. It is easy to mistake the title of the book "Wuhualou" for a book about places of interest. However, when we read it carefully, this book, which was written by western scholars more than half a century ago, gives us a new feeling. About the author

C.P. Fitzgerald (Chinese Name: Fei Zizhi, famous Australian sinologist, director of Far East History Department of Australian National University, and President of Pacific Research Institute) wrote the book "Wuhua Building: a study of Dali people in Yunnan" based on detailed field survey data in 1930s, and the photo collection of Dali 1936-1938, which is closely related to it, was published 70 years later Meet the world.
