Nanjing University Gulou University National University Science and technology park is located in Gulou District, Nanjing, which is the central city with the most intensive universities, the highest population and cultural quality, the richest scientific and technological resources, the most complete business facilities and the deepest cultural heritage in China. It is one of the few university science and technology parks set up in CBD in China. It is also one of the first batch of National University Science and Technology Parks approved by the Ministry of science and technology and the Ministry of education in May 2001.

Introduction of science and Technology Park

The science and technology park is jointly established by the people's Government of Gulou District of Nanjing city and nine universities including Nanjing University, Hohai University, China Pharmaceutical University, Nanjing Normal University, Nanjing University of technology, Nanjing University of Posts and telecommunications, Nanjing Medical University, Nanjing University of traditional Chinese medicine and Nanjing Institute of Engineering. It integrates research and development, incubation, technology trade and transformation of scientific research achievements.

There are 20 colleges and universities, more than 10 state-level key laboratories, 58 scientific research institutes, 42 academicians of the two academies in the region. More than one third of the 650000 people have college degree or above.
