Sanpo temple, also known as Mazu temple and Houtian palace, was built in the third year of Qianlong reign of the Qing Dynasty. It uses the sea cave as a natural barrier. The temple and the cave are skillfully combined, which highly reflects the labor wisdom of Weizhou people. The name of Sanpo temple is said to be another name for Fujian mage temple and Taiwan Mazu temple. Outside the courtyard, the flowers and trees are luxuriant, the rocks are vertical and horizontal, and the winding path is by-pass. Temple side shade, there are several immortal wells, springs often overflow. Well water has the effect of sweet mouth, refreshing and detoxifying. In the temple, incense is constantly burning, and there is an endless stream of worshippers and signers.
Sanpo Temple
Sanpo temple, also known as Xiantai temple, is a key cultural relics protection unit in Nankang Town, Hepu County, Beihai city. Sanpo temple covers an area of more than 680 square meters. It was first built during the reign of Emperor Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty. It has been more than 300 years since then. The temple has a long source and has undergone many changes. It was rebuilt in 1993 and has basically restored its original appearance. On May 20, 1993, the people's Government of Hepu County and on May 1, 2001, the people's Government of Beihai city established "Nankang Sanpo Temple" as a cultural relic protection unit of Beihai city.
