Wangjiang Temple Pagoda in Lu'an
Wangjiang Temple Pagoda, built in Song Dynasty, is located on the rock by the Leng River, 1km southeast of Xihekou Town, Lu'an City, Anhui Province.
development history
It was built in the first year of Qianlong reign (162) and rebuilt in the 29th year of Qianlong reign (172). After the founding of the PRC, the people's government allocated funds for maintenance twice in 1956 and 1979. In November 1984, it was announced as a key cultural relic to be protected at the county level.
Architectural features
Wangjiang temple is now the grain station of Hekou. The tower is hexagonal and 21 meters high. The sixth floor and the south side of the top of the tower were damaged by Japanese artillery during the Anti Japanese war.
