Yongxing temple in Wuxi

The famous Yongxing temple is located on the West Ramp of Huaqing bridge in Wuxi City. It was built in the chiwu period of the Three Kingdoms and has a history of more than 1700 years. It is one of the oldest temples in Wuxi and one of the exhibition sites of Guanyin culture in Chinese Buddhism.

The main Buddha in the main hall of the temple is a 9.19-meter-high statue of Guanyin, which is the highest in China. In addition, 32 2-meter-high wooden statues of Guanyin Yingshen and 53 1-meter-high wooden statues of Shenxiang, together with 84 phase murals, will become the most comprehensive hall to display Guanyin culture in China.
