Qianfoya Grottoes is located in the fishing city scenic area of Hechuan, Chongqing. It is a Tang Dynasty site and one of the important scenic spots in the fishing city scenic area.

Qianfo cliff Grottoes is located on the cliff about 30 meters west of the hanging Buddha in Diaoyu City and 0.7 meters away from the surface of the earth. The geographical coordinates of the center are 30 ° 00 ′ 17.0 ″ n, 106 ° 18 ′ 29.6 ″ e, with an elevation of about 376.2m and a direction of 231 ℃.

Construction form

There are statues of Buddha carved in the cave, which are arranged in 37 lines, from the bottom line up to 34 lines. There are 76 to 79 statues in each line. The number of statues above the 35th line decreases gradually, with a total of 2775 statues.

The statue of Buddha carved on Qianfo cliff is 12 cm high and 7 cm wide. It sits on the lotus terrace barefoot and looks down. In front of the abdomen, there is a Buddha sitting in the middle. It is the largest one, 20 cm high and 12 cm wide, with a boat shaped light on the back. On the left and right sides of the grottoes, there are two statues of JIAYE and Ananda's disciples, and six statues of their donors.
