The back half is blocked by a long door, and there is another half across the threshold, leading to the river bridge.

Building details

The walls of xuezhaitoudai are about 6 meters deep, and the building method and structure are still traditional. The area of the upper floor is the same as that of the bottom, and the roof is herringbone, but it is much higher than that of ordinary residents. The floor of the building is not very good, and the windows are not so good. However, it is very prominent in the residential buildings of this period in Xitang town.
Houdai is the main hall. There is a small patio between Houdai and Houdai. There is a wall door in front of the patio, which seems to be a copy of the traditional structure. The patio is very small, with narrow rooms on both sides, just like a corridor. The wing rooms all have long glass windows with a view to the patio. Due to the installation of glass, the daylighting is much brighter than traditional houses.
The main hall is also a three Bay hall, with square bricks on the ground, pillars in the middle, and a long gate in the back half. Half a room is set aside to cross the threshold and lead to the river. On the right is the staircase, kitchen, compact structure. The main hall is connected to the left and right compartments, like two tiger feet.
