Yuquanhe tourist area

Yuquanhe district is divided into three scenic spots: Langshan, yuquanhe and zhangshuping. There are more than 30 scenic spots including Shennongjia Nature Museum, Wushan lake and liudaoxia. Yuquan river basin is the core of the scenic area, and there are large areas of virgin forest. The air is fresh and rich in negative ions, which is very suitable for exploration, hiking and camping.

Yuquanhe tourist area

Yuquan river tourist area is located in the northeast of Shennongjia. It is a comprehensive tourist area with the Yuquan River Basin as the core, the tourism circulation line as the support, the high mountains and lakes, the rivers and valleys of Yuquan river tourist area as the characteristics, and the theme of exploration and challenge.

Among them, the Shennongjia Nature Museum is the only one in Central China, which was named by former president Li Xiannian.

There are mysterious traces of "savages", unique root carving art, ancient culture spread by fossil relics in Shennongjia, and the only "Chinese rhinoceros" fossil skeleton recovered in the world.

Tourism characteristics

Songlang mountain

Located in the north of Songbai Town, the highest peak of zhanggongyuan is 2194 meters above sea level. It is said that Zhang Liang lived in seclusion in the Western Han Dynasty. Songlang mountain is famous for its beautiful scenery, legendary beauty, strange stone peaks and quiet winding paths.

Yuquan River

It is 24 kilometers away from Songbai town. The lake is located on a high mountain with an altitude of 500 meters. The water depth is 30 meters and the length is 12 kilometers. It is a reservoir. At the mouth of the lake, there is a waterfall 54 meters high and more than 100 feet wide. There is also a cable throwing bridge. The deck of the bridge shakes very badly. It takes courage to walk there. There are two hot springs on the mountain wall beside the lake, and a hot spring pool has been built for tourists to bathe.

Museum of Natural History

Built in 1996, covering an area of more than 7000 square meters, it is the only regional nature museum in Central China. There are 13 exhibition halls in the museum. There are 310 species and 1276 genera of wild animal specimens.

Among them, albino animals can be called the wonder of the world. The cute "national treasure" golden monkey, fierce South China tiger, Shennong giant salamander, and the smallest bird in Asia, Sunbird, are all vivid. The colorful butterflies dazzle people.

2019 species of plant specimens will let visitors know more about Shennongjia as a real natural botanical garden. Liudaoxia

Also known as Guanmen River, it originates from dashennongjia and flows from west to East through shennongding, jingjingya, jinhouling and Laojunshan. It is a major river running through Shennongjia. There are more than 50 shoals, including high gorge, deep valley, long beach, riprap and Pinghu.

The continuous mountains, steep cliffs, verdant vegetation, rugged rocks, active birds and animals on both sides of the Strait and the local people with Shennongjia characteristics add endless charm to liudaoxia.

Wushan Lake

The lake is more than 600 meters above sea level. Boating on Wushan lake is fascinating. At the east end of the lake, there is a towering dam. In the rainy season, the blue water rolls down the dam, forming a magnificent waterfall. The waterfall is covered with silver wire, and the waves at the bottom of the dam splash. The sound of water can be heard five miles away. There is a hot spring on the side of Hunan Province, called "Shentang". The pleasant warm current can wash away the fatigue of tourists all the way and warm up the spirit of shaking off.

Exploration of Zongxia

Zongxia, located in Guanyin River Valley of Xinhua Township, was formed during the period of Xinhua great fault. The terrain is very complex, the climate is special, and people rarely visit. It is the deepest part of Shennongjia gorge and a paradise for brave explorers.

Longfu Palace

Located in the scenic area of Wushan lake, longfu palace is a place for ancient mountain people to pray for rain. Thousands of bats in the cave nest on the cliff at the top of the cave. There are many stalagmites in the cave, which looks like a huge longfu. The narrow tunnel is covered with stone curtains, such as ox liver and horse hoof, snake gall and bear heart.

Exploration of Zongxia

Zongxia, located in Guanyin River Valley of Xinhua Township, was formed during the period of Xinhua great fault. The terrain is very complex, the climate is special, and people rarely visit. It is the deepest part of Shennongjia gorge and a paradise for brave explorers.

Zhang Gong Temple

Zhang Gongyuan is 2194 meters above sea level. It is said that it is the seclusion place of Zhang Liang who was waiting for him in the Western Han Dynasty. Zhang Liang lives here, reading and writing in the daytime and singing on the piano at night.

Laojun Mountain

Laojun Mountain is located in the east of Shennongjia Nature Reserve. It is said that Taishang Laojun once smelted pills for the Jade Emperor and made furniture for shennongyan emperor. The climate here is cold and cool, the rainfall is abundant, the spring is widely distributed, the mountain is magnificent and the scenery is beautiful.

Laojun Mountain is rich in biological resources and rare wild medicinal materials can be seen everywhere. It is one of the original sub forest areas in Shennongjia, with few people. It is an ideal place for tourism and scientific investigation.

Moon cave

There is a steep peak on Wushan mountain. There is a huge cave passing through the mountain. Through the blue sky, it looks like a curved moon. It is called moon cave. On the mountain opposite the moon cave, there is another strange stone standing like a rhinoceros, which is far away from the moon cave, forming the famous scene of rhinoceros watching the moon in Shennongjia.
