Han Tianheng Art Museum covers an area of 14000 square meters, displaying 1136 pieces of art donated by Han Tianheng, a seal cutting artist, to the people's Government of Jiading District.

The museum officially opened on October 24, 2013.

Structure composition

Han Tianheng Art Museum covers an area of 14000 square meters, and the exhibition hall covers an area of more than 11000 square meters. The blending of history and modernity, and the collision of black and white are the first impressions of Han Tianheng Art Museum. The color design of the main body of the building originates from the calligraphy term "counting white as black". The collocation of black and white elements not only reflects the beauty of virtual and real contrast, but also echoes with the art of calligraphy and seal cutting. The black area is the theme exhibition area, and the white area is the auxiliary exhibition area and office area. This modern building is reconstructed from the "Feilian textile factory" with a history of more than 70 years. The building retains the original structure of the old factory building. The brick red chimney and serrated roof all reflect the designer's commemoration of industrial civilization. The theme exhibition area of the black area is divided into three parts according to the function: the first floor is Mr. Han Tianheng's fine works of calligraphy and painting over the years, the second floor is the treasures of calligraphy and painting of the past dynasties, the third floor is the study elegant play and Han Tianheng's Art footprint Museum. The original textile workshop was transformed into a temporary exhibition area of about 1500 square meters, including exhibition hall, multi-function hall, art school, etc.

More than 10000 square meters of modern architecture and more than 1000 pieces of art collection -- Han Tianheng Art Museum, located in the Central District of Jiading City, Shanghai, officially opened on October 24, 2013. 1136 pieces of art donated by Han Tianheng, a master of calligraphy, painting and seal cutting, to the people's government of Jiading District will be displayed in the museum one after another. On the day of the activity, more than 170 calligraphers and Mr. Han's students from all over the country attended the opening ceremony, and "Baile elegant Collection - the ninth calligraphy and painting printing exhibition of Han Tianheng teachers and students" was opened at the same time. The establishment of the museum will become another cultural landmark in Jiading.

In the temporary exhibition area, in addition to the "Baile elegant Collection - the 9th calligraphy and painting seal exhibition of Han Tianheng teachers and students" which was opened on the opening day, the "Qingtian national stone seal special exhibition" and "Chenghuai Guandao - famous collection of xiangdao Culture Exhibition" will be held one after another in the year.

Online Pavilion

Han Tianheng art museum is currently a large-scale collection managed by cloud digital platform in China. 1136 collections will have their own unique "ID card". The free rental pad in the museum can display the panorama and introduction of the collection.

All the collections have been "online" (displayed on the Internet), but some of them may be "online" every time in the future to encourage visitors to experience the charm of art.

On February 14, 2011, Han Tianheng donated 1136 pieces of art treasures he created and collected to the people's Government of Jiading District, and the preparation for the construction of Han Tianheng Art Museum started at the same time. The museum displays Han Tianheng's 20-year-old calligraphy, painting and printing works, which can be described as the epitome of his artistic life. He donated more than 140 treasures of calligraphy and painting artists in the past dynasties.

Han Tianheng, researcher level senior craft artist

He was born in 1940 in Suzhou, Jiangsu Province. His works have won the prize of minister of culture and culture of Japan and the prize of Shanghai Literature and art.

He has published more than 90 books, including Han Tianheng's selection of calligraphy, painting and seal cutting, Chinese seal cutting art, and three books, including Han Tianheng's recent works and Han Tianheng's appreciation of seal cutting art.
