Jiguanshan Forest Park

Jiguanshan Forest Park is more than 40 kilometers away from Xichou County, located in the northern edge of south subtropical zone. There are more than 10 scenic spots in the scenic area, such as Pinus armandii forest, fir forest, subtropical evergreen broad-leaved forest, grand mountain landscape and so on. Jiguanshan Forest Park

Jiguanshan Forest Park is located in Chongzhou City, Sichuan Province. It is a National Forest Park, covering the anzihe Giant Panda Nature Reserve. The scenic spot has the highest snow mountain meadow (3868 meters above sea level, 4800 mu of meadow area, 7% slope) and Quaternary glacial relics that visitors can reach in the scenic spot around the basin. It also has the largest, most numerous and spectacular waterfall group and drifting river section in Longmen Mountain It has the largest area, the largest variety and the most concentrated maple forest, Osmanthus fragrans forest, peony forest and Alpine Rhododendron forest in the Western Sichuan Tourist ring scenic area, plus rich animal landscape and psychedelic Alpine sky landscape, which constitute a comprehensive display of the panda ecological environment. What is more unique is that the AISI River Nature Reserve is the largest panda reserve in the 14 giant panda reserves in China. The largest number of giant pandas in the country is closest to the metropolis (92 kilometers away from Chengdu). It is also the key corridor for the two giant panda populations in Wolong and the bee colony. It is the wild release garden of the giant panda breeding base in Chengdu, and is the essence of the "giant panda hometown of China".

The forest distribution of Jiguanshan jiulonggou scenic spot presents obvious vertical band spectrum, with alpine meadow belt and Alpine Rhododendron forest belt above 3000 meters above sea level; evergreen broad-leaved deciduous broad-leaved mixed forest belt and fir sea between 2000 meters and 2400 meters above sea level; evergreen broad-leaved forest belt, artificial Cryptomeria fortunei forest belt and forest edge bamboo sea below 2000 meters above sea level. The scenery is shaped with the continuation of the mountain, and colorful at any time. It is composed of Cryptomeria fortunei Black Forest sea, yanxialing maple leaf, red silk Hill oak yellow leaf, Alpine Rhododendron sea, basuping green bamboo corridor, Oxford River Guihuaping, alpine meadow, alpine arrow bamboo forest, Davidia involucrata and other rare forest landscapes. It is a natural forest museum with high ornamental and scientific investigation value.

Wildlife Park

There are abundant animal resources in the scenic area, including 6 species of national first-class protected animals such as giant panda and gazelle, and 27 species of national second-class protected animals such as red panda and red bellied Tragopan. In the deep winter, there are many animals in the area of Liushan forest in basuping. Lucky tourists may meet the naive giant panda, or hundreds of social antelopes, or the golden monkey playing in the cliff tree will jump on their shoulders. During the spring, summer and autumn festivals, in the area of biandanqiao and wumachao, rare animals come and go more frequently.

Streams and waterfalls

In the scenic area, there are deep valleys, vertical and horizontal gullies, water drop ladder cloth, and waterfalls. There are two deep gorges and strange valleys, eight big and small gullies, countless water falls and short waterfalls. There are more than 10 waterfalls more than 20 meters, four waterfalls more than 60 meters, and the highest waterfall is more than 80 meters. Its 60 meter long and 5 meter wide gaofeishui waterfall is full of momentum and is like a mountain collapse. In front of the waterfall, there is a river beach tens of meters wide, which can accommodate hundreds of people. In summer, it will clear up after rain, and the rainbow will hang in the waterfall, which is extremely beautiful. There are three groups of waterfalls that are rare: baishigou waterfall group, xiaoyanwo waterfall group and maobiliang waterfall group. There are more than 10 waterfalls in each group, ranging from more than 10 meters to nearly 100 meters. They come from the clouds, or broad waves in the air, or springs and streams, or beads and jade plates. In addition, there are hot springs in the valley.

Fengyan fault rock mass

The geological structure of Jiguan mountain is complex. The Yingxiu fault and maiyanglin fault run through the area from northeast to southwest. The world famous Baishi langbandeng Tieshangang Feilai peak group is mostly in the scenic area. The Liangchahe belt is rich in intrusive rocks. Therefore, there are eight peaks in the scenic area, including Jiguan peak, the first peak in Shuzhou, with an altitude of 3868 meters It has the characteristics of being broad-minded and dangerous. Jiguanfeng mountain is a stone mountain with Quaternary glacial relics. On the east side of the mountain, a line of cliffs and broken rocks meanders more than 2000 meters, more than 100 meters high. It rises from the alpine meadow, and its colors are iron green, milky white, brown red, or miscellaneous. On the cliffs and the meadow below the peak, there are more than 80 stalagmites, stone screens, stone pillars, stone men, Stone Beasts and so on It's a giant sculpture. There are more than 20 dangerous wonders such as Shijian cliff, fuguangbi, Xianren cave, Lingxiao peak, Baizhang rock, Langya rock, Daqian mountain, Xiaoqian mountain and Shimen suojiang pass.

Alpine meadow

At the foot of jiguanfeng mountain, there is a vast alpine meadow. There is about 4800 mu of Alpine Grassland in Northeast China, which is 3 km long and 1 km wide. The slope is gentle (7%), with wild flowers in spring, green grass in summer, golden grass in autumn and snow in winter. The snow cover period lasts for 4-5 months. It is a natural alpine skiing ground.

The scenic spot is full of changes in cloud, fog and Buddha light, beautiful sunrise and spectacular ice and snow. It is called "cloud barrier" in Western Sichuan and "rain screen" in Western China. "Jiguanfeng" is an excellent place to watch the sunrise, Buddha light, sea of clouds and haze. It is full of clouds and mountains. The Buddha light under the fir rock is the most magical. When it rains and clears up in summer, the nearby mountains and forests are covered in the halo of festival colors, which is extremely gorgeous and shows the fantasy of nature.

Tourism information

In Chengdu, take a bus to Chongzhou first, and then to Jiguan mountain scenic area.

You can take the bus from Chengdu Jinsha station, Xinnanmen station and shiyangchang station to Chongzhou. The ride time is about 40 minutes and the price is about 15 yuan. When you get to Chongzhou, you can take a minibus directly to Jiguan mountain scenic spot.
