Shengjingguan, also known as Jieguan, is named shengjingguan because there is a Jiefang at the gate, and the plaque of the square has four characters "Shengjing in southern Yunnan". From the Yuan Dynasty to the Ming and Qing Dynasties, shengjingguan was the first important pass from Guizhou to Yunnan. In history, when people went in and out of Shengjing pass, they either built buildings, wrote poems and Fu, or wrote lianle steles, thus forming historic buildings in southern Yunnan, such as Shengjing square, Shengjing post, Shiqiu Pavilion, guanai tower, Qiqin stele, Shilong ancient temple, ancient post road, ancient fort, Shengjing mansion, etc.

Shengjingguan, also known as Jieguan, is located on the ridge at the junction of Yunnan and Guizhou 7.5km southeast of Fuyuan County. Laoheishan runs more than 100 kilometers from north to south. The mountains are steep and dangerous, but the Shengjing pass is relatively low, and there is a post road leading to Guizhou, so it is an important pass from Guizhou to Yunnan in ancient times.

There is a Jiefang at the pass, which is named shengjingguan because of the four characters "Shengjing pass in southern Yunnan" written on the plaque. Jiefang is about 12 meters high and 12 meters wide. The pillars are painted with gold and the eaves are tilted. It is magnificent. Jiefang was first built in the reign of Jingtai of Ming Dynasty, and has been repaired many times, but it still exists.

In the west of Jiefang, facing Yunnan, three pillars are dry and yellow dust; in the East, facing Guizhou, three pillars are covered with moss. The crossbeam in the center is particularly obvious, dry in the west, yellow brown in color, wet in the East, and green in color. This is because the cold air from the Pacific in the East is already weak after passing through the Guizhou Plateau; the warm air from the Indian Ocean in the West passes through the Yunnan Plateau, forming the so-called "Kunming quasi static front" in meteorology. It is just the front here, so it is rainy in the East and sunny in the West. Jiefang of shengjingguan has a certain scientific value in studying the meteorology of Yunnan and Guizhou provinces. There is a stone pavilion in shengjingguan village, which is called Shiqiu Pavilion because of a limestone outcrop in front of the pavilion, curling and circling like a dragon.

Since ancient times, there are three roads to Yunnan: Lingguan Road (from Western Sichuan to Yunnan), Wuchi Road, also known as Shimen Road (from Zhaotong to Yunnan), and shengjingguan road. Shengjingguan is the most important passage from the Central Plains to Yunnan since the Yuan Dynasty, known as "the first pass to Yunnan". It has been the first important pass from Guizhou to Yunnan for hundreds of years since the yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties. In the early Ming Dynasty, soldiers marched into Yunnan. In 1936, the second front army of the Red Army entered Yunnan on a long march. At the beginning of the founding of the people's Republic of China, the PLA aided the peaceful uprising in Yunnan. All of them first passed through here. Xu Xiake, a geographer of the Ming Dynasty, toured here when he inspected the origin of Panjiang river. Yang Shengan, a great talent of Kuang Yang, and Lin Zexu, a national hero of the Qing Dynasty, visited here to wield a brush Shengjingguan is not only a historical witness of cultural accumulation, but also a dividing line of natural climate. Therefore, there is a saying that "mountains border Yunnan, mountains border Guizhou, wind and rain judge cloud and precious". In this magnificent juncture, there are not only memorial archways with heaven as the boundary, stone lions with climate as the boundary, but also streams with earth as the boundary, and earth with color as the boundary. All these are amazing.
