Jinhekou Forest Park

Yuxian Jinhekou Forest Park, located at the foot of Xiaowutai Mountain, the first peak in Hebei Province, covers an area of 330000 mu. It is the only virgin forest around Beijing. Jinhekou Valley is characterized by steep mountains, brooding rocks all over the valley, gurgling streams, and natural landscapes such as "Pearl Spring", "crescent Lake" and "five cascades", giving people a feeling of returning to nature. Climbing the peak in the park, you can enjoy the complete great wall of Zhao in Warring States period and the ten temples of Jinhe in the forest.

Jinhekou Forest Park is also a kingdom of animals and plants, and an important nature reserve in Hebei Province. There are more than 1320 kinds of plants growing in the inaccessible virgin forest on both sides of the canyon. Rare birds and animals can be seen everywhere in the mountains. Brown eared pheasant, a rare bird in the world and a first-class national protected animal, lives here.

Traffic information: Jinhekou scenic spot is about 16 kilometers away from Xiaowutai. Generally, you can get to chiyapu village first, and then charter a car or drive to it;

1. Self driving

Route 1: Beijing - G6 Beijing Tibet Expressway - jimingyi - Zhuolu - Taohua town - chiyapu village - Jinhekou Forest Park

Route 2: Beijing -- G7 Beijing new expressway -- Zhuolu -- Taohua Town -- chiyapu Village -- Jinhekou Forest Park

2. Train

You can take the train from Beijing West to Xiahuayuan, and then charter a bus from Xiahuayuan to xijinhekou (or chiyabao and xiahuachuan); or take the bus from Xiahuayuan to Yuxian, get off at Taohua Town, and charter a bus to Jinhekou forest park;

3. Car

They usually choose to set out from Beijing, take a long-distance bus to Yuxian County (the reference fare is 90 yuan / one-way), and get off at Taohua town. Taohua town is about 20 kilometers away from Jinhekou forest park. It's only about 40 minutes by car
