Yilong Lake Scenic Spot

Yilong lake, formerly known as Yulong lake, is named after Yulong mountain on the South Bank of the lake. The scenic area is composed of Yilong lake, ancient city and Baoxiu, with thousands of acres of lotus pond fragrance and Yilong fishing boat race. It is known as "the second West Lake" and one of the tourist attractions in southern Yunnan. From June to October every year, big red, pink, milky white and purplish red lotus flowers bloom in competition, making Yilong lake a sea of flowers. At this time, you can take a small wooden boat to enter the lotus pool or board the lotus pavilion to enjoy the flowers and taste the fresh lotus seeds. Yilong lake has different landscapes in four seasons, so it is suitable to visit all year round. There are Han, Yi, Dai, ha, Zhuang, Miao, Hui, Lahu and other ethnic groups living in Yilong town. They are hospitable. After visiting the lake, you can also experience their simple folk customs.
