Yanghucheng old residence

General Yang Hucheng was born in Ganbei village, Pucheng County, Shaanxi Province, and lives in Huaiyuan Lane in the east of the county. This is an antique, beautiful and popular residence. It was built in 1934 by General Yang Hucheng for his mother and family members.

The courtyard pattern is divided into gatehouse, hall, women's hall and back building, covering an area of 1250 square meters and a construction area of 750 square meters. It is a traditional "four road" building in Guanzhong. The whole building is simple and elegant, with green bamboo and cypress in the courtyard, green pane doors and relief sculptures.

Pucheng County People's government listed the former residence as a key cultural relic protection unit in memory of Yang Hucheng, a "meritorious man" for thousands of years, and established the "Yang Hucheng Memorial Hall" here, which was officially opened to the public on November 26, 1983. Now it is a national key cultural relics protection unit.

The museum displays the calligraphy and paintings of General Yang Hucheng and general Zhang Xueliang, as well as the Shouping given to his mother by Chiang Kai Shek, Shao Lizi and Ma Hongkui. There are documentary pictures of the Xi'an Incident, and the living utensils and combat weapons used by Yang Hucheng.
