Xinjiang International Exhibition Center

Xinjiang International Convention and Exhibition Center is one of the largest and most comprehensive international convention and exhibition centers facing central Asia in Western China. It is the city landmark of Urumqi, the capital of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. It is the venue of "China Asia Europe Expo" and an international venue integrating conferences, exhibitions and large-scale celebrations. As the venue of China Asia Europe Expo, the new Xinjiang International Convention and Exhibition Center will have an indoor area of 45000 square meters, 3000 international standard booths, an outdoor exhibition area of 50000 square meters, an international conference center and a star hotel.

Xinjiang International Convention and Exhibition Center is one of the largest and most functional International Convention and exhibition centers facing central Asia in Western China. It is the city landmark of Urumqi, the capital of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. It is the venue of "China Asia Europe Expo". It is an international venue integrating conferences, exhibitions and large-scale celebrations. It is located in Urumqi, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region 3 hongguangshan Road, Shuimogou District, Muqi city.

Location overview

Xinjiang International Convention and Exhibition Center is the main venue of China Asia Europe Expo. From September 1 to 5, 2011, Xinjiang will hold the first China Asia Europe Expo in Urumqi. Its predecessor is the successfully held 19th "Urumqi International Trade Fair". In May, 2008, it was open to bid at home and abroad, and finally, Wuhan architectural design institute won the bid for the scheme of "bright moon out of Tianshan".

Building code

The indoor exhibition area of Xinjiang International Expo Center is three times of 15000 square meters; the total underground building area is about 17400 square meters; the total outdoor space area is about 199400 square meters, and the outdoor exhibition area is 45000 square meters, which is more than four times of the outdoor exhibition area of Xinjiang International Expo center.

In addition, the first phase of the project also includes 40000 square meters of parking lot, 25000 square meters of square in front of the gate, and 89400 square meters of landscaping. It is 486m long and 130.5m wide. The exhibition hall adopts large-span truss string with a span of 108 meters, which is the third largest span in China. The design of the conference center is an ellipsoid moon, and the difficulty of design and the scale of personnel accommodation rank in the forefront of similar buildings in China.

There are six main exhibition halls in the exhibition center, and the conference center can have a conference scale of 4000 people.

Architectural model

The membrane structure types of Xinjiang International Convention and exhibition center can be roughly divided into three types: skeleton type, tension type and inflatable type

1. Frame supported structure

After the roof skeleton is composed of steel structure or Glulam, the structure form of membrane material is tensioned above it, and the stability of the lower supporting structure is high. Because the roof shape is relatively simple, the opening is not easy to be limited, and the economic benefit is high, it is widely applicable to any size of space.

2. Tension suspension structure

It is composed of membrane material, steel cable and pillar. The tension is introduced into membrane material by steel cable and pillar to achieve stability. In addition to the practice of creative, innovative and beautiful shape, it is also the most able to show the spirit of membrane structure. In recent years, large span space also uses the form of steel cable and compressed material to support the upper membrane. It has high construction accuracy, strong structural performance and rich expressive force.

3. Pneumatic structure

The inflatable membrane structure is to fix the membrane around the roof structure, use the air supply system to make the indoor air pressure rise to a certain pressure, so that the pressure difference between the inside and outside of the roof can be generated to resist external forces. Because the air pressure is used to support, and the steel cable is used as auxiliary material, without any beam and column support, it can obtain larger space, and the construction is fast, with high economic benefits, but it needs to maintain 24-hour air supply The cost of continuous operation and machine maintenance is high. The amount of steel used in the steel structure project of Xinjiang International Convention and Exhibition Center has reached 27000 tons.
