Zhongshan Park is located in the central area of Shaoguan, at the intersection of Zhenjiang, Wujiang and Beijiang, with a total area of 120000 square meters. Zhongshan park takes the Central Avenue as the main axis, forming an open park city square of nearly 30000 square meters. Development history

In November 1927, Chen bingduo, then the county magistrate of Qujiang County, complied with the voice of the people, mobilized people from all walks of life to donate money to build Zhongshan Park, and moved the old County Office (now the seat of the municipal government) to the joint office of Yingong Office of yuanlingnan Road, freeing up the original county office to build the park in memory of Sun Yat Sen.

In April 1934, when Chen Jitang (governor of Guangdong Province) was in charge of Guangdong Province, he personally visited Shaoguan and selected this place as a factory base for preparing to build airplanes. He put up the brand of "Shaoguan aircraft repair factory",

In August 1935, the factory was completed. In May 1936, the first trainer named "Fuxing" was manufactured and successfully flew, which made a sensation in the whole country.

In July 1936, Chiang Kai Shek forced Chen to step down, and Yu Yanmou took over the military and political power of northern Guangdong from Chen. At the order of Chiang Kai Shek, he renamed "Shaoguan aircraft repair factory" as Shaoguan aircraft manufacturing factory, and successively produced "Fuxing" multi-purpose aircraft and "Hawk" fighter bomber. When the Anti Japanese war broke out, Shaoguan aircraft factory became the target of Japanese bombing.

In June 1938, Jiang ordered the factory to be moved to Kunming, thus ending the history of aircraft manufacturing in Shaoguan.

In 1958, Zhongshan Park was rebuilt, formerly known as Shaoguan Cultural Park.

In 1984, Shaoguan Cultural Park was renamed Zhongshan Park.

In 1998, it was open to the public free of charge.

Zhongshan Park in Shaoguan, Guangdong Province is located in the left street outside the South Gate of Shaoguan City, Guangdong Province. Transportation: from the direction of the railway station, a Qujiang bridge across from Guohuo station, you can see a pedestrian overpass (Jinkang bridge) and turn left at the intersection to see Zhongshan Park.
