Jinjishan

At the foot of the mountain, the stone drum of Wanglong mountain also rings, the water of the front and back tripods under the Golden Rooster trough also boils, and the couple rock that hugs each other is separated. It is said that there is a small stone cave in Jin Dynasty. Whenever the Golden Rooster flies back, it always stores the rice collected from the field into the cave. As long as the poor people ask for a house, a small bowl of rice will flow out of the cave. Later, a greedy rich man discovered the secret and dug the cave to get more rice. As a result, not a single grain of rice can flow out. After the discovery of golden rooster, he was furious and scared the rich man. From then on, it turned into a huge stone and stood on the top of Jinji mountain, as if it was blessing the people of Yuxi 36 villages with good weather, abundant grain and peace every year. People call this huge stone "the Golden Rooster heralds the dawn" and call it "the independence of the golden rooster".

Jinjishan

Jinji mountain is the coastal defense site of zhenhaikou, and it is the operational command center of Zhenhai campaign in 1885 Sino French war. Ouyang Lijian, a patriotic general of the Qing Dynasty, once commanded the battle here and won a great victory in the main battle. He wrote a glorious page in the history of the Chinese nation's resistance to aggression.

In November 1996, as a part of zhenhaikou coastal defense site, Jinjishan Laotai was announced by the State Council as a national key cultural relics protection unit. Ruian, Hubei, Lechang, Pingxiang and Fuzhou also have Jinjishan.

Surrounding sites

Jinji mountain is surrounded by Beilun coastal defense sites, covering an area of about 4 square kilometers. There are more than 30 well preserved important sites and cultural relics, which are mainly distributed in Jinji mountain, Qijia mountain, Lishan Mountain and jiakoumen mountain. These relics are mainly military defense facilities, including fort, blockhouse, bunker, lookout tower, trench, levee, barracks, beacon tower, etc., involving countless battles against Japan, Britain, France, Japan, etc.
