The most convenient bus route is: Xiamen Yongding Tulou. Remember, it's the bus to Yongding Tulou, not to Yongding County. Xiamen Hubin south bus station has a direct bus to Xiayang from 6:00 to 12:30 in the morning, which takes three and a half hours. Stops are Xiamen - Zhangzhou - Nanjing - Shuyang town - Hukeng town of Yongding County - Xiayang town. You can get off on the way. See (Hukeng folk culture village, Gaobei Tulou group, Zhenfu building, Yanxiang building, Huanji building) get off at Hukeng or (Zhongchuan ancient village, Chuxi Tulou group) get off at Xiayang.

return journey:

There are three buses from Yongding Tulou bus station to Xiamen every day (7:30, 12:30, 14:45). They arrive in Xiamen in about three hours, and the ticket price is 60 yuan / person. If you miss the last bus from Yongding Tulou to Xiamen, you should consider going directly from Shuyang town to Nanjing County, because there are many trains from Nanjing County to Xiamen, and then to Xiamen. It is said that the last bus is around 8 o'clock.
