Confucian temple in Ningyuan County, Hunan Province

Ningyuan Confucian temple, also known as Xuegong. Located in the southwest corner of Ningyuan County, it was originally built in the old city of Lingdao in the Han Dynasty (now called Dongcheng). It was moved here with the county in the third year of Qiande in the Song Dynasty (965). Confucian temple is the representative building of Confucian culture in ancient Chinese society. It is the only institution to offer sacrifices to the historical and cultural celebrity yezihe. It is also the educational institution of the integration of temple and learning in Chinese feudal society.
