Fenyang College of Shanxi Medical University is a secondary college of Shanxi Medical University. Its predecessor is Fenyang senior nursing school of Shanxi Province. It was founded by North China Christian axiom society in 1923 and put on record in the Ministry of health of Nanjing National Government and Chinese Nursing Association in 1937. It became one of the only three senior nursing schools in China (Peking Union Medical College, West China of Sichuan Province and Fenyang of Shanxi Province). It was restored and rebuilt in 1985 and changed to its current name in 1996. The school is located in Fenyang City, a thousand year old city known as the "dry wharf of Qin and Jin Dynasties".
