Wuyi University

The state-run full-time regular undergraduate college approved by the Ministry of education is the successor of Wuyi jingshe (Academy) founded by Zhu Xi more than 800 years ago.

School motto: to learn, to act, to carry on the past and to open up the future.

The school is located in the green hinterland of the Economic Zone on the west side of the Straits, and in Wuyishan, the "world natural and cultural heritage site". Wuyishan is an international tourist resort city, with railways, expressways and aviation extending in all directions. There are also two expressways and two express railways under construction. With an area of 3000 mu, the campus is picturesque in four seasons.

More than 80 academicians and well-known experts are invited as visiting and lecture professors, and cultural and educational experts from many countries are teaching in the University. Throughout the year, experts and scholars at home and abroad gather, providing a broad stage for expanding students' horizons and cultivating high-quality talents.

At present, there are 156 State Council special subsidy experts, doctoral supervisors, master supervisors, professors and associate professors, and more than 200 master and doctoral degree teachers.

The university has established cooperative relations with more than 50 universities at home and abroad and large enterprises at home and abroad: it cooperates with Cambridge University to build Wuyi Institute entrepreneurship College; it cooperates with Lake Washington Institute of technology to build Wuyi Institute overseas education college and Confucius Institute; it cooperates with Xiamen Lianwei education investment group to build Wuyi Institute Information College; and it cooperates with Guangdong Xinguang Talent Exchange Service Co., Ltd The company cooperates to build Wuyi college animation college, Taiwan Pingtung University of science and technology and Daren University of science and technology to build Wuyi college Strait Tea College, and Beijing Qicai group to build Wuyi College Beijing internship and employment base.

With green, tourism, culture and education as its characteristics, tea and applied biology, science of song and Ming Dynasties, tourism, environmental engineering and art design as its advantages, humanities, management, engineering and agronomy as its focus, it has 15 undergraduate majors and 28 junior college majors. There are 13 teaching departments (departments) including Department of tea and biology, School of humanities, School of foreign languages and international exchange, Department of tourism and management, Department of art, Department of educational science, Department of mathematics and computer, Department of electronic engineering, Department of environment and architectural engineering, School of information, School of animation, teaching department of Ideological and political theory course, and School of continuing education. There are more than 9000 full-time students. In the past three years, the employment rate of graduates has remained above 93%.

The total value of instruments and equipment is 49 million yuan. The library has 870000 books and more than 1700 periodicals. It has an IBM storage system with SAN architecture, with a capacity of 18tb. It has established local mirror sites in Chinese and foreign languages, such as periodicals, newspaper full-text database, master's and doctoral thesis database, knowledge video database and e-books.

There are National Research Institute "Song Ming Neo Confucianism research center"; provincial research base "Wuyishan World Cultural Heritage Research Base", "Wuyishan united front cultural theory research base of Fujian United Front Theory Research Association"; Provincial Key Laboratory "Green Chemical Technology Laboratory".

There are a number of provincial key disciplines, key laboratories and excellent courses, and a number of school level excellent courses and key courses are selected. There are more than 100 teaching practice bases.

It has been awarded the title of "Advanced University of Party construction and ideological and political work" by Fujian provincial Party Committee for three consecutive times; it has been rated as "civilized school" at the provincial level for six consecutive times; its Youth League Committee has been awarded the title of "Founding unit of National May 4th red flag Youth League Committee"; it has been awarded the honorary titles of "provincial safe campus", "provincial garden unit", "provincial garden unit" and "Fujian excellent volunteer service collective" number.
