Inner Mongolia Normal University, founded in 1952, is the first university established by the party and the state in the frontier minority areas after the founding of new China. It is a key university in the autonomous region and a comprehensive Normal University with distinctive characteristics of teacher education and ethnic education. After several generations of hard work, practice and exploration, it has become an important base for the autonomous region to cultivate basic education, ethnic education teachers and Mongolian and Han Minority compound talents.
