Zhuhai College of Jilin University

Zhuhai Campus of Jilin University was founded in January 2002, covering an area of 5000 mu. It is composed of Zhuhai College of Jilin University, Zhuhai branch of Graduate School of Jilin University and Southern Research Institute of Jilin University. Southern Research Institute of Jilin University is a high-level talent training base and scientific research base established by Jilin University in the Pearl River Delta region. Since 2007, it has been recruiting master's and doctoral students.

Zhuhai College of Jilin University is an independent college established in Zhuhai Campus of Jilin University, which is applied by Jilin University and approved by the Ministry of education, according to the document "opinions on standardizing and strengthening the management of independent colleges with new mechanism and mode" issued by the Ministry of education. The college covers six disciplines, including economics, literature, science, engineering, medicine and management. At present, it has 13 departments, 31 undergraduate majors and 12000 undergraduates.

In January 2005, the Ministry of education conducted a special inspection on education and teaching in 249 independent colleges across the country, and the evaluation expert group of the Ministry of education gave high praise to Zhuhai College of Jilin University.

In 2006 and 2007, the college was selected as "top 20 independent colleges with comprehensive strength" and "top 10 harmonious campuses" in the general evaluation list of the Ministry of education sponsored by China information network, Xinhua and other mainstream media of the Ministry of education for two consecutive years, and won the title of "top 10 famous independent colleges in China with public satisfaction in 2006-2007".
